Earlier this year, I was asked to talk about my ‘social enterprise,’ for fashion education purposes. I’m always happy to share my story, but it got me thinking, why is my business considered a social enterprise?
I’ve always been passionate about fairness in the supply chain, and every part of the chain being fair and sustainable, isn’t this just good business? what does it say about business in general if simply trying to do the right thing can be viewed as social enterprise? I think our measurement of business success needs to be about more than just profit, how we get there is critical.
